LAST BLOG POST FOR 2009!

Wow! It has been six months since Under the Radar Society hit the internet. I would like to thank everyone for reading. 2010 will be a big year for Under the Radar Society!

Before I take off I want everyone to read this...it really touched my heart.

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that was not supposed to never let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it is harder every time.
You will break hearts too, so remember how it felt when your heart was broken.
You will fight with your best friend.
You will blame a new love for things an old one did.
You will cry because time is passing too fast,
and you will eventually lose someone you love.
So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you have never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you will never get back.
And if I ever broke your heart I am sorry let us bring this year in happy!

Dueces,

Nasty Tai Boogy

L.I.E. Lost In Eternity

11/29/2009 09:28:00 PM Reporter: Nasty Tai Boogy 0 Responses

LIE is an R&B trio out of New York soon to bring a fresh feeling and balance to music. Not the traditional R&B vibe, these New York artists bring a hip hop sense to R&B. Singers, Justin aka Leaks, Dennis aka Roc4ya, and DeShaun bring a heartfelt intensity in their music.

Despite their young age, the group has a mature balance when it comes to their lyrics as well as professionalism as artists. It’s no coincidence that all three have some form a musical background deep rooted in the church and an intense passion to take their talents to the next level.

LIE has a pop, hip hop, rock, and r&b medley that fuse perfectly into an incredible sound that will stir various emotions through their music. Fresh faces, young swag, and natural talent are the defining elements that set this group apart from any other. Performance-wise this group embodies swag and fun. Young in age, mature in spirit, they put on a show that is entertaining and unforgettable.

Many of their songs introduces the trio’s fun vibe, with dance, hip hop flavor, and an abundance of energy. It captures a fantasy, futuristic, and nearly impossible experience that can only felt through imagination. One listen and you feel the urge to celebrate.

LIE is a group that brings appeal to men and women of all ages. The three met as solo artists, each with unique vocal abilities. Driven by their love for music and dance they decided to form a group. Lost in Eternity appears to be the most fitting title, as it almost seemed an impossible coincidence for these three to fit so well into a group with a flavorful sound that is nearly perfect and unique of anything seen and heard before.

You can download their latest mixtape "A Long Way Home" from www.datpiff.com or http://www.thevampent.com/

F.L.O.W was born in nassawadox,VA. He didnt stay there long before his parents moved him to Long Island,NY where he always had a love for music but was briefly pushed back because of his athletic skills. Always very witty and clever with words but didn't start writing until the late age of 18. He was always very quiet about this passion of music he had, until he went to college where some friends forced him to rap and that unleashed everything that was bottled up inside. Now he's here ready to make good music for the world to hear. STAY TUNE ITS JUST THE BEGINNING!!!!!

CHERRYLIPS DESIGNER: JASMINE

9/10/2009 11:52:00 AM Reporter: Nasty Tai Boogy 2 Responses
On her birth certificate her name is Jasmine B. Jamison but some of her nicknames are Jaz, Jazzy Jaz, Jazzy Phe, Jamie, Juice, Juicy Fruit, Munch, Cherrylips. 19 years old reppin' Queens, New York decided that she wanted to start her own clothing line called Cherrylips Designs.

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT THE CHERRYLIPS DESIGNER, JASMINE

Turn ons: Ice cream, Chocolate, Horror Movies, Great Fashion, Bono, Dogs, Europe, Foreign Countries, Eye glasses on a man, Older Men, and Manicures
Turnoffs:
empty promises, boys that don't use their minds, conceited people, bad choices of clothing, plunging toilets, garbage disposal, hood rat chicks, people who can't talk without cursing, the n word, racism, and insects
Favorite colors:
There is a special place in my heart for Pink, Black, White, Red and Gold.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What were you like in high school?

JASMINE: I was a A+ student and I struggled with anxiety in the 10th grade. I was quiet but had no enemies thank god.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: Favorite childhood toy? Favorite toy you have now?

JASMINE: My childhood toys: Baby Born (doll), the Playstation 1 & 2, and my Barbie Collection. Right now my computer is my favorite toy.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What is Cherrylips Designs (CDNY)?

JASMINE: Cherrylips Designs abbr. CDNY (Cherrylips Designs New York) is a lifestyle brand that is the epitome of luxury, wealth, beauty and happiness. The products are for females ages 14 to 100, who embody smarts, sexiness, and charm!

NASTY TAI BOOGY: When did you start Cherrylips Designs? Why?

JASMINE: I started it in Fall 2007. I created Cherrylips Designs because I had the desire to get into the industry and I knew I could make money by displaying my design skills on t-shirts.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What are you future goals?

JASMINE: World Domination lol. I want to be in the industry for a very long time, I want to record music as well, I have a list of goals/missions and I'm checking shit off. I also want a hubby and kids plus a big ass estate in Queens.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What makes CDNY different from other clothing lines?

JASMINE: Well it's my view of the world. The concepts are original, the design and fit is good. It's original to me and the quality is original to America.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: Where can we buy Cherrylips Designs?

JASMINE: It's sold exclusively on our website eventually we will be selling at Neiman Marcus, Kitson, Saks, Barneys and other high end boutiques.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What made you want to be apart of the high end, contemporary sportswear market?

JASMINE: Nothing, it just so happens that the products I want to design cost more to make, in other words, higher quality products. The contemporary applies to us but we prefer to create something you've never seen before and pull from the past for a collection. So how contemporary are we? Like 65% maybe.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: Do you have any helping hands?

JASMINE: No, right now I handle everything myself and I like it that way, I guess I'm a control freak at work. I've tried to hire people but it just doesn't work. I need someone to be my right hand, someone who gets shit done – a female pimp lol. Hit me up though if you think you can be apart of the team!

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What is the industry like today?

JASMINE: Recession, Rag Doll Fashion....I don't even feed into it. It's pretty much like get mine, you get yours. Show your best and come hard or go home baby!

NASTY TAI BOOGY: Barbara Kruger Tees...seems like everyone has one why did you hop on the bandwagon?

JASMINE: CDNY didn't hop on no bandwagon, those other tees suck major. We give respect, where respect is due, Barbara is an inspiration to us. You can debate it, Cherrylips Designs has the best Barbara Kruger tees. No other tees can compare!

NASTY TAI BOOGY: Are there any clothing designers that you look up to? If so, who?

JASMINE: Ralph Lauren, Betsey Johnson, Chanel (Karl, Call me!), Christian Dior, Oscar De La Renta, Marchesa (Georgina & Keren), DVF, Louis Vuitton (Marc & Bernard), Donatella Versace and Carolina Herrera.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What advice would you give to young females who want to go into fashion?

JASMINE: Make sure you do your research and study your craft. Also if your doing this as a hobby or if your trying to make a quick buck then find another industry because this is only for people who live and breathe it.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: Tell me what important lessons have you learned through your experiences?

JASMINE: Never, ever give up. Sometimes we try for reach goals that are way out of reach but you got to keep on pushing. Also just be yourself and do what makes you happy.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: Your still doing graphic work and your running CDNY, what keeps you from getting drained?

JASMINE: With my PCOS, I'm always fatigue so I just sleep as much as possible. I design for hours at a time, listen to music, avoid the heat, hang out with my friends and family, eat good, and that really does the trick!

NASTY TAI BOOGY: Where do you want to go?

JASMINE: Right now I wanna hit up the Southhampton's for a little R&R and drinks. In the future I want to go to Africa and Greece. Wanna join me?

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What are your major pet peeves?

JASMINE: Wasting money on terrible food, Racial Profiling, Dirty Subway Cars (stop polluting the earth), Noisy Cops, Speeding in NY - Really Dumb?, Drunk/Buzz Driving, and Texting While Driving.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: Is there anyone special you would like to collaborate with?

JASMINE: I would love to work with Louis Vuitton. For LV, I would love to design a new line of handbags and accessories for the brand. It would be so devastating.

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What projects are you working on? What's due out next?

Right now I'm working on a website for a new client after that I might take a graphic hiatus. Also, the next and final t-shirt collection will be delivered to your doorstep by Christmas!

NASTY TAI BOOGY: What would be your wildest Cherrylips Designs fantasy?

JASMINE: An appearance on Oprah and to see my gowns on celebs at the Oscars!

C.B.Y.A! East Atlanta, Georgia

Nasty Tai Boogy: What made C.B.Y.A decide to start a career in music?

C.B.Y.A!: Music was one of the first things we remember in our lives. So naturally we adapted to it. Not just rap but all genres.
Nasty Tai Boogy: What is the group's inspiration?

C.B.Y.A!: Our inspiration is to strive to be the best at what we do and succeed in life& at every aspect of it.
Nasty Tai Boogy: What are your future goals?

C.B.Y.A!: Future goals(as far as next couple of years) is to have a number one platinum record, and expanding the brand which is C.B.Y.A! into movies, clothing, etc.
Nasty Tai Boogy: How long has everyone been rapping?

C.B.Y.A!:
Well I(Cadallac) has been rapping since the age of three. We (l-mo,I-hop) seriously started around our high school days when we consider it being a career.
Nasty Tai Boogy: Who are your influences?

C.B.Y.A!:
Outkast, Goodie Mob, The Notorious B.I.G, Field Mob, Marvin Gaye, we are influence by old school music period. If you listen to our music we incorporate it a lot in our songs.
Nasty Tai Boogy: Signed to a Record Label? If so what label?

C.B.Y.A!:
we are signed to IMG International/404 music/Koch records
Nasty Tai Boogy: What artist are you listening to at the current moment?

C.B.Y.A!:
Currently we’re back and forth between Drake, and ourselves. lol

Nasty Tai Boogy: If C.B.Y.A. were a superhero, what would the group's name be and what super power would you have?

C.B.Y.A!:
Hmm that’s a good question. WE would call ourselves The Mighty C.B.Y.A! our powers would be strength and mind control.
Nasty Tai Boogy: What producer and/or artist would you all love to work with? why?

C.B.Y.A!:
We would love to work with Kayne West, & Outkast. I think those particular artist would definitely bring out the sound of which is C.B.Y.A! They indulge in a lot of old school 70’s music in their music and I think we would make a monster collaboration.

MEET J.J. SINATRA

8/17/2009 12:00:00 AM Reporter: Nasty Tai Boogy 0 Responses
Rapper J.J. Sinatra, Philadelphia, PA

Nasty Tai Boogy: How long have you been rapping?

J.J. Sinatra: 13 years

Nasty Tai Boogy:
13 years thats wonderful. What made you decide to start a career in music?

J.J. Sinatra:
I know this sounds kinda played out, but when I was 5 years old I saw Michael Jackson on T.V. doin' the moon walk and I said to myself, "that's what I wanna do". The only problem was I couldn't sing or dance. By the time I was 10 rap was on the come up and I fell in love with it. When I hit 16 I found out that I could rap and decided to pursue the dream of bein' a rap star.
Nasty Tai Boogy: What is your inspiration?

J.J. Sinatra: A lot of things inspire me, but I think what inspired me the most was what everyone who doubted me had to say about me bein' a rapper. Ya know, stuff like "you're corny, stop tryin' to be black" and "you're chasing a pipe dream", and my all time favorite "you're a fake ass white boy who thinks he's down". Yeah, blowin' up in everyone's face who hated on me is my inspiration.

Nasy Tai Boogy:
Who are your influences?

J.J. Sinatra: Well in the rap field I'd have to say Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and of course Ghost Face Killah. I'm also influenced by Dean Martin, Andrew Dice Clay and who else but the late great Frank Sinatra.

Nasty Tai Boogy:
What are your future goals?

J.J. Sinatra: Besides bein' successful in music, I'd have to say my ultimate goal is to be a great actor. I really love rappin' but I'd rather be in the movie business. You can act til your old & gray and keep reinventing yourself. You can reinvent yourself in music but I can't see me bein' 50 years old droppin' my 23rd rap album.

Nasty Tai Boogy:
I feel you on that. Are you signed to a record label?

J.J. Sinatra: Yes. I'm signed to a indie label called Jimmy Franks Recording Company, but my distribution is under Fontana which is a Universal Records corporation.

Nasty Tai Boogy: What artist are you currently listening to at the moment?

J.J. Sinatra: On the real, NONE!!!! I'm so into what I gotta do right now that alls I listen to is instrumentals that I plan on crushin' for future projects. Also there's a lot of garbage on the radio these days. Once in a blue I'll pop in Jay-Z's first album or Ghost Face's Supreme Clientele. Other then that you might catch me listening to the jazz channel.

Nasty Tai Boogy: What producer and/or artist would you love to work with and why?

J.J. Sinatra: I'd love to work with Primo from Gang Starr simply because I came up on chopped up sample beats like the ones he's famous for. Kayne West is pretty nasty with the beats too, plus I think his ego & my cockyness would be super obnoxious on a track. Obnoxious in a good way of course.

Nasty Tai Boogy: If you were a superhero, what would your name be and what superpower would you have?

J.J. Sinatra:
My super hero name would be Dr. BIGWOOD!!! Use your imagination to figure out my super powers.

Nasty Tai Boogy:
Lol at Dr. Bigwood. Everyone and their mother has a twitter now, do you have one?

J.J. Sinatra: You're makin' me feel old!!!! I kinda gotta idea of what Twitter is, with all the textin' all your people and then some at once, givin' 'em a blow by blow of what you're doin'. But naw I can't lie I ain't really up on that shit. I suppose when I'm officially famous enough then I'll get my Twitter face on.

FEATURE FRIDAY: SHANELL AKA SNL

8/14/2009 01:21:00 PM Reporter: Nasty Tai Boogy 0 Responses

Shanell aka SnL is a female singer who is apart of Young Money. She might be down with the hottest crew in the game right now but how many people have heard of her music? How many people even know who she is? I recently downloaded "A Taste of Shanell aka SnL." It has six songs with Lil' Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Audrey O'Day. Every song I fell in love with. My #1 favorite out of the six is "Substitute Lover." Her music is a mix of hip-hop, R&B, and punk rock. I also love her style. The nose ring chain is dope! Shanell aka SnL earned her a fan.

NOT YOUR AVERAGE FEMALE RAPPER...JAZZY F!

8/11/2009 12:42:00 AM Reporter: Nasty Tai Boogy 0 Responses
Born Jasmin Torres on January 5th 1990, the young & flashy aspiring musician is now known by Jazzy F. Currently she resides in the live city of Miami as a full-time student attending Florida International University. Previously Orlando served as her home for five years & before the Florida move, Atlanta is where she resided for twelve years. Education is her main focus as of right now, but a career in music is definitely her aim for the near future. The southern artist is not your average female rapper. She can be described as lyrical, & often stays far away from the stereotypical “female rapper image”. Jazzy F is known to use a series of differentiating flows from quick & witty, to laid back and saucy. Expect something exciting every time you listen!

Beanpie - Volume 1 Episode 1: Squeaky Clean

Opening Scene: Beanpie is laying in bed thinking about a new sham to make some easy money. He is a self proclaimed hustler in the suburbs of Connecticut. In his mind he is the ultimate hustler.

Beanpie
(to self): Alright govy, today is the day you make it big. You've come too far to stop. After today's sham everybody will know this name, BEANPIE!

*Beanpie is in the bathroom singing and mixing a solution in the bathtub when his little brother Tailgate comes into the room.

Tailgate
: Move I have to pee.
Beanpie: Just go, I'm no meat gazer govy. Plus you have a malnourished tallywacker. I heard NASA put the Hubble Telescope into orbit just to try and find it.
Tailgate: Shutup!

*Tailgate starts peeing

Tailgate
: What are you doin?
Beanpie: If you must know, I've come up with the ultimate sham
Tailgate: Why don't you just get a job?
Beanpie: Listen mate, Beanpie works for no one. I'm a business man, besides you can't look this good and not work for yourself.

*Tailgate finishes, turns around, and puts his hand on BP's shoulder

Tailgate
: So, what are you making?

*Beanpie jumps up and pushes Tailgate's hands off of him

Beanpie
: You nasty little bugger! Get those little pee pee sausages off of me and wash your hands.
Tailgate: Sorry! Always Mr. Sensitive. Sometimes I wonder if you're my big brother or my big sister.
Beanpie: Whatever govy. What we have here is a solvent that will knock the dirt right off of any dish.
Tailgate: You're gonna bootleg dish washing liquid?
Beanpie: That's the idea
Tailgate: So, you're gonna hustle soap?
Beanpie: I said yes
Tailgate: Wait a minute, this from a guy they called "Deputy Dirt" in the high school yearbook?
Beanpie: Shut up and get out!!!
Tailgate (singing): I washed the sheriff, but I did not clean the deputy.

*Tailgate runs out of the bathroom

Beanpie
: Alright, now to get this soap off and running.

*Beanpie starts mixing this liquid and adding numerous things until finally he is finished.

Beanpie
: Aha, now to get the bottles.

My brother from another mother Khalid, just graduated from undergrad and going to purse his graduate in January. I only known him for a year and its seems like forever. He is down to earth, funny, and a music junkie. I was his apprentice learning how to DJ at the college parties on campus this past school year. It was DJ Kha Kha and DJ Tai Boogy on the 1's and 2's almost every Saturday. (Some Saturdays we were studying for that test or paper due on Monday lol) Even though he graduated, college friends last for a lifetime. Check out his blog The Everything Bagel

DUKE LANTERN

7/20/2009 11:57:00 PM Reporter: Nasty Tai Boogy 0 Responses
Duke Lantern was born in the Connecticut housing projects of Bowels Park, to a Latina mother and Jamaican father. Humble beginnings served only as fuel to ignite Duke through adversity and economic setbacks as a child.
His gift of visualizing and artistically documenting the surreal was evident very early on. He began illustrating his own original comic book series in the 7th grade entitled "Flave". The buzz from this gore-filled sexually overt comic began to spread like wildfire until it eventually caught the attention of four other like minded artists. This group of young artists collaborated to then produce a comic called "Renegades", (which was loosely based on themselves and garnered newspaper exposure.)
In recent years, Duke has continued to grow and evolve in his career as an artist. He has done exclusive artwork for 50 Cent, Young Hot Rod of G-Unit, acclaimed hip hop director/photographer Jonathan Mannion, and the incomparable Star & Bucwild. With a devoted group of supporters worldwide, along with one of the coolest monikers in the past decade, "The Black Dali"... Duke Lantern is determined to "make art culture pop culture."

BEHIND THE LENS: REVELL IMAGES

ANTOINE REVELL, PHOTOGRAPHER
A college graduated from Cal State University in Los Angeles, Antoine received a degree in Film and Television. While in college he was a student athlete, model, and also assisted a wonderful Photographer by the name of Scott Hebert of Studio360 Imaging. Being a part time model and an assistant photographer he was able to learn both sides of the business. Scott Hebert showed him the ropes, the in's and outs, and pushed him to turn his hobby into something to take more serious. While working with Hebert, Antoine was able to work with many celebrities, such as Faith Evans, Ludacris, Claudia Jordan, and Melissa Ford just to name a few. He recently did a photoshoot wit BET's Baldwin Hills star Justin Walker, and USA track & Field runner Desi Burt. "Being an athlete in college makes me feel the need to take on the athletic photography. I want to be a photographer that can do both athletic and the fashion/urban genres. By being a young photographer I will see many challenges but when people talk to me and see my results they know I'm only young in appearance. Studying and taking it as an honor to capture great images is what separates me from others. I get excited before I even click on my camera. The future looks bright and I will let God lead me down my path."

HIP HOP'S ROCKSTAR, J!

7/14/2009 12:01:00 AM Reporter: Nasty Tai Boogy 0 Responses
J, Female Emcee/Producer/Songwriter/Musician

Her style, her charisma, and talent surpass many in her generation. She allows her thoughts to flow freely, as she pours her heart out onto her tablet creating masterpieces. She gives her audience what they need as well as what they desire. She's the truth of hip hop and she's in a class all her own. As a matter of fact, she instructs the class.
J (not Jay) has been a lover of music since she was a small child growing up in a small town of Georgia. She respected and nurtured that love until it blossomed into a bond, which is truly unbreakable.
J is not only a hip hop artist. This young woman is the CEO of her own label, Use Of Force Entertainment, a phenomenal producer, an exquisite songwriter, and a talented musician. J's many talents allow her to take her listeners on a musical journey like no other.
With her first single, "Queen", J schools the ladies on how to step up, take charge, and control their own destiny. "Queen" represents today's strong woman. Once the ladies hear J's powerful lyrics, they will no longer ask to be respected, they will go out and demand it. Her peers, simply, define it as a woman's anthem.
With J's current single, "Rockstar", she wants you to know the true definition of swagger. "Rockstar" definitely catches anyone's attention with its banging rock-influenced sound and unforgettable lyrics. With this track, J lets you know that material things don't give you swagger. Swagger is a state of mind built on courage, confidence, and charm.
People from all walks of life are drawn to this young woman like a moth to a flame. She has been featured in several online publications, such as Indy Hip Hop World, The Culturtainment Experience, and HHH Magazine. She has also been interviewed by some of the hottest online radio stations, such as That's My Word with Mari Torres, Boss Ladi Radio with Toya Anitri, and Triple Platinum Underground Radio with Tripp.
J is certainly a force to be reckoned with. And when you pop in her brand new EP, Breath of Fresh Air, you will find out why. She keeps it 100% real. There is nothing sugar coated. This lady is definitely taking hip hop to the next level. The BEST level. Make way, because the Queen has spoken and she has come to claim her throne.
