His name is Garret but when he takes the stage he is LuvaBoy. A 20 year old R&B & Hip-Hop singer/songwriter from Uniondale (Long Island), NY. He describes his music as "another way of thinking out loud."LuvaBoy found his soulful voice at the age of 5 singing along side with his father who was also a solo artist and sung with a live band.
Luvaboy is currently a member of a group called B.C.T. (Beyond Creative Thinking) which consist of both male & female artists.
His influences are his brother Terrence Barz, members of B.C.T. (Sinemax, Kaybe, Amillz, Kaveman), R. Kelly, Usher, The Dream, Ne-Yo, Pleasure P., Trey Songz, Drake, Lil' Wayne, Tyrese, Mario, Omarion, Ryan Leslie, Ginuwine, and Alicia Keys.
He sings mostly about real life events that occurred in his life along with exaggerated tails of other experiences. LuvaBoy's first solo mixtape was released May 2009, "What Love Sounds Like..."
